My poor wife has to deal with all of my quirks and things I do to make myself feel self important. One of my "indulgences" is my American Express Platinum service. Yes, I know, its just a credit card and people may think I'm an idiot for paying a hefty annual fee so that I can spend money, but they treat me so well.

I was lucky enough to see two Dodger playoff games this year and I didn't have to pay a cent for the tickets thanks to my friends Marc and Kue who were generous enough to hook me up with tickets. There is nothing more awesome than playoff baseball when the team actually has a chance to go all the way.

Yo, I'm back in LA. For about a week now, I've been craving some good, authentic pasta. I didn't get it in NYC so I am on the prowl. But I don't want any crazy truffle pushing bougeois Italian joint. I want a traditional family run joint that has a homey feel and good sauces. So me, the Bud, my wife and my brother headed over to Petrillo's.

For dinner me and Art hit up Plataforma which is a high end Brazilian Churrascaria. These Churrascaria's are just pure carnal gluttony. It's always a better idea in your head than it is in reality because no human is capable of eating that much meat. But man, the first couple of plates are just fabulous.

I had to fly out to New York for some work meetings. I landed pretty late and our travel coordinator put us up in Newark, New Jersey. Have you every been to Newark? It's pretty horrific. Especially if your hotel is near the airport. But hey we're in a horrific recession, I'm OK with the company trying to save cash here and there.
