I got a $50 complimentary gift certificate from American Express for Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. I find it interesting that AMEX is constantly tempting me with these "money saving programs" that actually cause me to spend more money that I was planning on spending. Just like that free companion airline ticket thing. The dealio expires end of October so we had to make sure to use it up.

I am looking forward to the long Labor Day weekend.  It will be my opportunity to kick my current Nyquil addiction.  I've been taking a shot of Nyquil every night for about 2 weeks.  I want to make damn sure I kill the virus that is making me suffer.  I am OK now, but Nyquil makes me sleepy and lets me get a good night of sleep.  I am a Nyquil Junkie.  But that does not make me a bad person.

I am totally obsessed with Facebook.  I have it installed in all of my computers, on my phone, on other people's phones and just about anywhere I can have it installed.  It's great, I've been able to re-connect with people that I haven't seen since high school (I graduated 17 years ago), college, graduate school and work.  It's also great because I use it as an aggregator for my stuff on Flickr, Twitter and YouTube.  So that brings up the question when is it too far?

Last Sunday, I celebrated my first Father's day with a gluttonous food festival at the weekend seafood buffet at Cafe Sierra in Universal City.  There were three dads in the house.  Me, my dad and my father in law so that was kind of cool.  Kill 3 birds with one stone.  For some reason I was really looking forward to celebrating this holiday.  I'm not one to celebrate any contrived celebrations because I celebrate something every day, cheesy, but this Father's Day thing is dope.
